Back in 2018, SIG introduced the original P365. To be honest, I wanted to hate it. At the time, I was firmly planted in the “carry a full-size pistol” camp and didn’t see much value in these new micro-compacts. That opinion changed quickly after shooting the P365 during SIG’s Range Day at that year’s SHOT Show. The pistol was comfortable, accurate, and surprisingly easy to shoot well. Since then, the P365 has become one of the defining handguns in the compact everyday carry market.

Sharps Bros Gen3 Grip Module – A New Model
As good as the P365 platform is, there is always room for improvement. Sharps Bros recognized that opportunity and developed a line of upgraded grip modules designed to refine the pistol without changing what made it successful in the first place.
Sharps Bros offers grip modules for several P365 variants. I had the opportunity to spend time with the Gen3 model for the SIG P365 XMacro. This latest version features noticeably improved ergonomics, more aggressive grip panel texturing, a redesigned steel lug system, and provisions for adding a magwell.

Machined From Billet 7075-T6 Aluminum
The grip module is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a Mil-Spec black anodizing. My sample came equipped with matching black anodized aluminum grip panels. Right out of the box, the fit and finish stood out. Every edge is cleanly radiused, giving the module a refined appearance while eliminating any sharp edges.
The texture strikes an excellent balance. It provides plenty of purchase without becoming abrasive or chewing up clothing during concealed carry. One of my favorite features is the integrated thumb ledges on both sides of the frame. They provide a natural indexing point and are sized perfectly, giving your support-hand thumb a solid place to settle without feeling oversized or intrusive.

Instalation
Replacing the factory grip module with the Sharps Bros unit is simple. I was able to complete the task in only a few minutes. Once installed, the difference is immediately noticeable. While the factory SIG grip certainly works, the Sharps Bros module feels more natural in my hands. The improved ergonomics position the pistol better during the draw and throughout recoil, giving me better control and more consistent accuracy on the range.
I’ve been using and evaluating Sharps Bros products for well over a decade, and the company’s attention to detail continues to impress me. Their products consistently reflect thoughtful engineering and quality machining, and this grip module is no exception.

Sharps Bros Gen3 Grip Module
If you’re happy with your P365 XMacro but want to improve its handling without altering its proven reliability, the Sharps Bros Gen3 Grip Module is well worth considering. It doesn’t reinvent the pistol. It simply makes an already excellent handgun feel even better.
Features
- Enhanced trigger-guard geometry with undercut and finger grooves for improved comfort and control
- Steel lug insert made from heat-treated 4140
- Ambidextrous thumb ledges (both sides) provide a natural indexing point for either hand. This feature is licensed under U.S. Patent No. 9,194,649.
- The stock Sig module is 1.1″ wide in the grip; our module is 1.3″ wide, allowing for a more robust feel in the hand without compromising concealability
- M1913 Picatinny accessory rail
- Flared magazine well
- weight: Our grip module weighs approx. 5.3 ounces. The extra 3 or 4 ounces over the OEM grip is hardly (if at all) noticeable while holstered, but while shooting, the few extra ounces help reduce felt recoil
- Direct replacement of the Sig Sauer OEM standard polymer P365 X Macro grip module
- Any model P365 XL or X Macro slide is compatible with the Sharps Bros grip module.
